KARIN SARRATT

Executive Vice President

Karin Sarratt serves as executive vice president, leading the Employee Benefits business, Enterprise Strategy, Enterprise Business Improvement, Enterprise Marketing and Communications, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, and Community Affairs. A member of the OneAmerica Financial® Executive Council, Sarratt joined the companies of OneAmerica Financial in the fall 2016.

 

Sarratt has experience with large, complex, and highly regulated companies, and she has worked with multi-site, global executive teams to set strategy and achieve business outcomes while maintaining a highly engaged and top performing team culture.

 

Previously chief human resources officer for OneAmerica Financial, Sarratt led organizational transformation initiatives that improved operating efficiencies and created business value, through the development and implementation of talent strategies to drive retention, engagement, and a culture of inclusivity.

 

Sarratt came to OneAmerica Financial from Anthem Healthcare, where she led several human resources functions, in addition to merger and acquisition initiatives. Sarratt served as vice president of human resources for several of Anthem’s key businesses and shared services. Before joining Anthem, she worked for International Paper Co. for more than 14 years, serving in her last role there as director of human resources in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

 

Active in community service in Indianapolis, Sarratt serves as vice chair for the Indiana Sports Corp board, Secretary & Treasurer of the Downtown Economic Enhancement District board, Indy Chamber board of directors, serves as a member of WNBA All Star 2024 Community Programs Host Committee and is an active member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc.  She previously served as the co-chair for the 2024 USA Swimming Olympic Trials Local Organizing Committee, and in board roles for Shiel Sexton and the Center for Leadership Development. 

 

Sarratt earned her Master of Science degree in human resources development from Clemson University and her Bachelor of Science degree in telecommunications from Ball State University
